Carpenter and Langford, PLLC has enjoyed the strong support of the Austin community for more than two decades. We know that our success hinges upon the wellbeing of our community. Over the years, we have supported a number of Austin nonprofits and community organizations with our time and financial resources as a firm, and individually, thanks to the generosity of our employees. We’ve been involved with and supported wonderful organizations like Animal Trustees of Austin, The Breast Cancer Resource Center, Austin Partners in Education, and others.
More recently, we put into practice several internal policies to make it easier for our staff to engage with and support Austin nonprofits and community initiatives, and to ensure that, as a firm, we do all we can to help the community that has given so much to us. We now provide matching gifts to go along with staff donations made during Austin’s annual “I Live Here, I Give Here” campaign. Additionally, we give employees one day each year to take off from slaving away for us to go do some good through volunteering at a local community organization or nonprofit. They don’t lose any vacation time, and the choice of charitable organization is up to them. We also ask our staff to come together as a team once a year to pitch in for a day of volunteer work here in Austin, whether it’s to build a house with Habitat for Humanity, help stock The Food Pantry or another endeavor vital to the continued wellness of our community. Going forward, we trust that we will discover and take advantage of even more opportunities to give back to the Austin community.
